I fell of the bus.
Really I did. End of the year teacher junk and then summer vacation seemed way more important than an itsy bitsy blog.
I didn't even make it through the blog for 30 days in a row. I'm feeling a bit pathetic. Well ... time to get back up on the wagon as they say.
My summer was fantastic. I got to make money. That's what happens when you get a summer job. I feel tired already but it'll be worth it when we finally have enough money for a significant downpayment on a house.
Already back to school. Can't wait to get started on my projects for art. My students were not happy to be back. I totally understand where they're coming from. There is always lots to do around the colony and they want to be in the thick of it. I can't wait until they start harvesting potatoes. Fresh potatoes are lovely.
My knitting goals this year are pretty out there. I'm looking to knit 4 monsters and a scarf for christmas. I'm trying to finish a shawl for myself that I started Last August (2010) and I also have a shirt on my needles for me as well. I have also started a shawl that I'm sending to someone in a swap. She can't knit and I can and she's so excited about it!!!
Well I'm off to weed my house. They're EVERYWHERE!!! I can't wait until next spring so I can get a good headstart on all of those malicious seeds before they start. I have to get some flowers and move a tree in the beginning of the year as well. We'll make this place look really nice!
