The Battle BEGINS!!

I believe I have finally succumbed to the battle that is "weight". I have, until recently, been quite satisfied and non-caring about what the scale bespoke to me. I would hop on, giggle a little, possibly frown and carry on. Lately, however, I can't seem to get that little niggling voice out of my head.

I had to buy size 10 pants for the first time ever this last break. I broke my grey pants and had to get new ones. I decided not to squish myself into something that would bulge. I have enough problems without adding cut off circulation of the lower extremities to my list. That one shopping trip made me stop for a minute. I can control alot of things. I can control my shampoo, my midnight snack, my colour of clothes for work. (he he) I gave it some thought and I came to the conclusion that I should be able to control my weight as well.

Now begins the great game of weight control. I have about 20 pounds to lose. That will get me at my ideal (ideal by in my head) weight. 15 would make me pretty comfortable as well.

I have started the following actions to try to lose some of the chubby tummy:

I am going to the gym at least twice a week and I also walk 20-30 minutes a day at school, every day.
I drink 1L of water at school every day. Not including 1-2 cups of tea.
I am eating less food at lunch. Even though it is super delicious food.
I am going to drink less pop and more water.

I hope that will do something to start. I always think it's better to start somewhere than no where.

Here's hoping I have to buy new pants by my birthday :) (and a new bathing suit for Vegas!)

THE WORLD IS ENDING!!!

Or so they tell me.

Birds are dead, fish are dead and now we have Snowmaggedon. I have never seen this much snow ever.

My car is buried.

I think I will be writing lesson plans tonight. Just in case I won't be able to make it to work tomorrow. The roads are not the best. We went out to Chapters yesterday, just to check out the roads, and they're very sinky. It's still snowing today as well so it's only going to get worse. Hubby almost got stuck in the middle of the parking lot yesterday when we shovelled out his spot. And he's got the SUV, I don't want to know what mine will be like. My car is itsy bitsy. I have lots of cooking to do today. Make a lasagna, some carrot ginger soup and meatloaf. It's a glorious day to have the oven on.

I will also be knitting on a commission project I got at christmas. I don't think I have enough wool. Sigh... story of my life.
