Blogging, But I am Le Tired

I think I should have blogged earlier than now. hmmm

I believe I was suffering from lack of sleep and procrastination. I was also working on not admitting I had an internet addiction. I'm trying to get rid of it. The hubby wants to have more face time. I agree. I also want to become a finisher, not a "do another day-er"

I have already cleaned out the daily blogs to visit, I deleted 6 or so off of the immediate click buttons. I got rid of 4 comics and I actually caught up with marking today. That is a challenge in itself. My eyes are now permanently crossed. (hehe they were before)

I have also set a date to delete my latest flash addiction, Frontier ville. Mr. RTD is right, it is just a clicky game. All I do is CLick ClicK CLICK! Nothing is happening in the brain!! NOTHING! I want to also try to stop being so addicted to finishing books. I can't stop reading. You may all remember a time not so long ago when I didn't finish my first book evar! It was painful. Methinks that if I try this more often it will become easier to stop.

Moving on to more interesting things, and not so depressing as self-improvement, Dad is finally going to get his wine racks in this winter. I am very excited about this as I will be able to indulge in a bit of OCD while I organize and clean all of his, currently empty, wine bottles. I want all the same ones on the same shelf. I can't wait to put them up. All cherry wood. They look fabulous! I'm going to make my mother throw out some crap in that storage room too. You know there's chocolate from before they moved, 5 YEARS AGO!!! I'm sure that stuff can't be good anymore! There's also an old Yogurt maker. Dad hasn't made yogurt since before I was in school. I don't even remember the last time that thing was used. It's 80's puke brown too. Bah. Buy a new one!!

There are other odds and ends I've seen. None are pretty anymore!

I am also in the tail end of hunting season. I should have gone out today to see if I could find a moose, but alas Marking took too long. There is still time for me to get a buck out by wainwright. Hopefully the next time I go out we'll get something. I know where he's hiding!!! We'll get him!

Well I have time to knit today, so I'm going to go get as many rows as I can done on my summer shawl. Eventually I should be able to finish.

Procrastination

WHY DO I DO THIS!!!

I always think life would be easier if I didn't procrastinate. I can't help myself. This blog is a procrastination too!!! For some reason I just don't have the drive to DOOOOO things before they stress me out. I have deadlines for school, home, crafts, family and yet I seem to wait until the very last minute and then either
A. I don't finish on time  or
B. I get all bent out of shape and finish.

It is a mystery to me why this happens.

Sometimes I think the RTD has a factor in my procrastination. I like shiny objects so they distract me. I like stupid Zynga games like frontierville, distracting. I tell myself that I wouldn't like doing something. I think it will take too long in the time I have so nothing important gets done.

Maybe I should just go for it and see what happens. I've already completed the following today.

1. Got up before 8 (and before 7 at 655) and got dressed!
2. only spent 45 mins wasting time on comics, eating and surfing blogs and crackbook
3. spent the last 45 mins actually working
4. spent 10 minutes writing this blog
5. spent 10 minutes thinking about what to write on the blog
6. spent 1 minute wondering what the hubby will think.
7. spent 1 more minute not caring what the hubby will think.
8. spent 2 minutes laughing to self about expression on the Mr's face.
9. worked for 5 minutes while thinking about blog
10. The present time is now!

so you can see I have had a busy morning.

I think I'll go take a break and finish something other than work. I mean working straight for 45 minutes is a long time right??

Oh well

The house

The hubby and I would like to purchase a house.

I know it's for real now. I've seen the spreadsheet.

This may seem a silly phrase to say, that something is real because of an excel spreadsheet, but in our house that's how it works. When Mr. RTD really wants something to happen the spreadsheet making commences. I never know it's happening. Sometime after a project is first discussed I will happen upon an email. In one of these many emails is a note saying "please look at the spreadsheet". I never do. I wait until he gets home because I never know how to interpret the dang things anyways.

So the Mr. creates spreadsheets for everything. Book list of our library, budget, how long to pay off things, and of course how long until we can have a 20% down payment for a reasonably priced abode. We will probably be looking in the Fort Saskatchewan area. As long as it's not a run down house I'll be happy with a bit of renos. I'm hoping some people will come out to help us. More hands make light work as they say. Whomever "they" are, they seem to have the smarts.

I'm in the middle of report cards. I'm not liking it right now. I have to make all the Jr. High reports myself on my own template. I hope it works out. Next term I'm making sure to get on the system reporting program. Saw it today and I likes it! WAY EASIER!!! who'd have thunk it.

Well back to some down time. I like pushing everything until the last minute. It keeps me fresh.

TO THE KNIT MOBILE!!!*

*if this vehicle actually exists I would die in glorious yarny goodness.
PS just saw some quiviut (Musk ox yarn) 100g for $195.00 THAT'S NOT EVEN ENOUGH FOR A PAIR OF MITTENS!!!!

November Holiday

While living in Calgary I never had a week off of school that I wasn't prepared for. We got a couple days after parent teacher interviews, christmas, easter, Spring break, may long, all those holidays I already knew about. I moved back to Edmonton and what should I behold but a whole week off in the middle of November. I have never ever had a week off in November. I am so excited about the possibilities of next week.

I can go hunting during the week. This means less people will be chasing the deer around and I might actually have a chance to shoot something.

I'm planning to visit alot of people. I want to go to Calgary and see my former colleagues. Even on a modified calendar they still have school next week for 3 days. Their week off was a week ago. Bonus for me. I have some stuff I took with me by accident that I found in my teacher boxes which I must return.

I'm planning to do some sewing. I've left my machine on the dining room table for over a week and it's mocking me. I have a dress, PJ pants, some baby change table covers and a bag to make. I think I should be able to knock some of these off of the list.

Mr. RTD wants me to read some new books. The first by Brandon Sanderson. He's the guy finishing Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Apparently his books are better. Also there's some odd dragon alternate history book and I found one the other day by Anne Bishop that I haven't even read yet. And I'm positive I bought it in July for my birthday. I can't believe I haven't burned through it yet.

Knitting also looms.(*HAHA I made a pun and I didn't realize it until I posted!) I must finish a commission piece before I head to Calgary, It's for my principal. I have a shawl to finish. I have sweaters to start and toques to make for cousins.

I'm beginning to think I won't have time for it all. And I haven't even mentioned all the time I'll probably spend on the Interwebs. It is my downfall.

Oh well. Plans are made, let's see how they follow through. I'm going to have a hutterite chocolate chip cookie. And then maybe a rolo.....

WHAT!! I'm going to the Gym tonight!!
